One day..

It blows. It really blows when you have a point to prove and despite your best efforts to do so, you cant quite pull it off. I'm not complaining though. Yep, that was one of the things on one of my many new lists. No whining, no complaining. Shit happens and will continue to happen as long as life goes on, same like rain. It rains we pull out the rain gear (unless you happen to live in Sharjah - no disrespect intended love - in which case it might be smart for us all to invest in row boats for such occasions of rain. hehe Sharjah is one of the most interesting places I've had the pleasure of living in ;) ) so yeah, when shit happens from now on I shall pull out the 'shit gear' (Hopefully I remember the drill on such an occasion cuz my memory is very selective)

I am an impatient person. I hate to wait. I'll keep telling myself that one day I will prove that point though and in the end it will be worth the wait inshallah.

I realized something quite new today. "A bum no longer belongs to time, rather, time belongs to the bum" haha, hurray for bums yeah?

I downloaded some new anime today. Kuroshitsuji and Toradora! . Now all I need is a hardcore anime the likes of Monster or Death Note and I'll have a well balanced visual meal ^^

Did I mention I cant wait for December?

250th Post...

I just thought I might title this post with its post number as a commemoration of sorts. Anywayz.

I had forgotten how theraputic downloading torrents could be. It truly had been too long since last I went on mininova.org and went on a downloading spree. I started today with freeing space on my external so that I could move things from my laptop onto it. Currently the external is in the process of moving the selected contents off on to mother's computer (ha, she's not here to see 35 GBs of space being taken over by moi in mere minutes..). In the meantime I've managed to start loads of new downloads. Mostly Gossip Girl eps, season one totally rocked. I'm feeling a bit lost as to what anime I should get. It feels like ages since the days when I'd come home to open mininova and download any new anime title that appeared on the list. I did decide to complete my Zombie Loan collection. Episodes 8-11 are currently downloading. And there was another anime I had started to watch back in my first semester that I haven't looked back at since I couldn't download the rest. It was called Lovely Complex. Interesting anime that one. So I put two of its later eps on to download as well. I must say, at the moment I'm feeling reasonably at peace - a huge surprise given I am still stuck in AD.

There were a few jdramas I started on youtube and was considering downloading as well. And although downloading is nice I doubt and hope that I won't be here much longer so I probably wouldn't have time to download them anyway. Turns out though a girl I know has them so I'll just give her the DVDs to copy them on to. Things always have a way of working out neh?

More anime..

I feel like I've been very productive in the anime department this weekend.. Ha, after this post I'm going to go get some coffee and find something non-anime related constructive to do. (Inshallah!)

Since yesterday I added 3 more new titles to my anime list. Zero no Tsukaima (1st season), Tokyo Underground and Ergo Proxy. Tokyo looks really interesting! I've seen and heard about Ergo a while back but it never really interested me. A friend asked me to download it for her so since it's on my comp I may as well watch it and add to my collection ;)

I'm considering downloading Shakugan no Shana. Any of you guys heard anything about it or watched it before?

Anime of the Week

Uploading is a "chalba" (I'd be in heaven if I had cable net!) but I guess its not that bad since I am already online and can do other things as the files upload - it just boils down to my impatient nature (I'm spoiled by technology and the faster things get done with new

technology the more spoiled I become =$) ah well...

So anyways, this post I'm also going to add to the sidebar and update it every week or so with a new anime ep for "direct download". Of course the ep of this week will be Zombie Loan ;)

For you guys benefit..and probably partly for my own sanity, I split up the ep into 121 little chunks. I then zipped them with WinRAR - 24 chunks per rar file, with the exception of the last group that had 25 chunks. You'll need to download this file splitter software - it's free and super easy. Once you have all of the zipped groups in one folder (and unzipped them) then u just go to the file splitter thingie and choose "Join files".. I'm totally in love with the simplicity of it all hohoho =D

I am using Send Space (an old fave) to upload the files and will post them here as they finish uploading. I think that should be everything, to the main course we go!

That out of the way, ZOMBIE LOAN ROCKED! The drawing was v.good.. the characters where great.. and the story is seriously interesting.

I just got a great idea for a new post that I'll add to the sidebar.. if 4shared is cooperative I should have that post up in a bit.. if not it'll probably take me the rest of the day to find a suitable 'host'.

Lol, that's how the piles and piles of anime and things I have on my laptop and external hard drive were moving around this afternoon when I got back from RAK. I now finally have space to download new anime from the growing waiting list that has been collecting dust waiting for me to get space.

Tonight I added three new animes to my collection. Higurashi no naku koro ni, both seasons.
Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari (The english title is: Hundred stories) and Zero no Tsukaima (season 2). I haven't been able to get Zero no Tsukaima season 1 yet. The torrents I've tried for it haven't worked so I'll have to do a bit of digging until I find a working torrent inshalla.

So far I have around 60-something different series.. wait I'll check...

It's pretty obvious that I've been doing pretty much nothing all afternoon since I got picked up from uni today (I could count the things I have done on one hand). Ah, well.. I hope to be more productive tomorrow inshallah.

I'm supposed to be doing arabic homework for tomorrow and doing a session of a reading program that we have to hand in the results for. Don't feel like doing either of them. I decided I'm not going to do that arabic homework at all. That teacher thoroughly annoys me and I am 99.999% sure he doesn't even look at our work. Anywayz before I end up going into a rant about that individual I need to get on with the purpose of this post ;)

Aslan I just wanted to share a new site I found. Anime Episodes.Net . Like Crunchy Roll and Youtube u can watch full anime episodes on that site. When I get around to it I'll add that link to the side bar with the other links (and take out the broken ones) "Inshalla".

LiveJournal hates me =S

It really does.. I used to have an account on there years ago but for the life of me can't remember the password or even the correct spelling of the user name. I try to post a comment on blogs over there (that's when the server actually allows me to view pages over there.. I once couldn't access any LJ pages for a month!) and it always accuses me of being a spammer/mass commenter or something silly like that. In small letters it reads that maybe it's just my IP address and something having to do with the network so contact my service provider. HA HA. AS IF I'd even dream of wasting time on the phone with etisalat for them to tell me they don't know what's wrong with it.

Anywayz, today I was finally 'permitted' to visit LJ. I visited a few pages and among them was Kath's blog =) Brilliant writings u have there Kath (I suspect it's something that runs in the family... ;) Both u and BW are talented writers "bismilla mashalla alaykum" =P ) I was a bit worried over what topic I might try and present for speech comm mid-term exam this Tuesday. Your post "The Internet is Dying" gave me a great idea and solved my prob! I'm going to present an informative presentation about anime and how it has become part of pop culture today ::grins:: Arigatou.

Meine Liebe

Meine Liebe (My Love) is an anime about these students at an elite academy training them to become future leaders. I guess I need not say anything more than one of the main themes being friendship. The title is kinda misleading unless though ( I don't recall any of the guys having a girlfriend.) Maybe it is referring to their passions in their own opinions and actions. Who knows - It's a must watch anime though. Animation was great and had story/plot to reinforce it's greatness.

Meine Liebe Wieder

The sequel to Meine Liebe. Both Amazing.... I think my favorite charactor was Ludwig - though he was really a snot nose at times. I also liked the Japanese student that was always with him. I forgot what his name was.

Next

Le Chevalier D'Eon

Another amazing anime (actually any anime I end up blogging about should be clue enough that I thought it was amazing IMHO) click the title and read about it on Wikipedia. I actually started watching this before I watched ML above. D'Eon and the blond haired boy (I can't remember his name at the moment either) both lose their sisters to organized violence. Interesting stories both ML and Chevalier.

I so love the these two (the pics). My sis said the show reminded her of Kenshin but I couldn't watch Kenshin so I am quite sure this is nothing like ole Kenshi.

This and Chevalier are still being subbed. ML and MLW are both subbed and finished.

Goth-Goth-Loli-Loli

Lol, this has to be the funniest anime I have watched since Ouran High School Host Club. The four boys; Kyohei, Ranmaru, Takenaga, and Yuki remind me of the host club members - a little. Though Kyohei and Yuki don't seem to care too much for girls running after them.

The name of this anime is called: Yamato Nadeshiko Henge. It's about four boys who move into a mansion (don't ask why the hell it had to be a mansion). The land lady of the mansion has a niece whom she wants to become a perfect 'lady'. It is arranged for the niece to live with the four and they are given that job of turning her into the perfect lady. In return the land lady promises to make their rent free if they succeed in turning her niece into a perfect lady. The boys had no idea what they were getting into until they meet the niece. Turns out the niece is totally into being a loner and shutting herself away in her *dark* room with three creepy mannequins and loads of horror movies. The girl herself supposedly has resemblance to the girl from "The Ring" (I wouldn't know cuz I so don't watch scary sheemot like that..)

The animation sucks but the story is pretty good. I was laughing throughout most of the episodes. Goth-Goth-Loli-Loli!

Bravo! The writers did an amazing job of wrapping this anime up. It's been quite a while since I've seen an anime that I was fully satisified with the conclusion. This one gets a 10/10.

Great comedy, character development and of course a smashing end! Definitely on my list to re watch when I have that kind of time.

I could rave endlessly about this anime but there really isn't much more I could say without throwing in major spoilers. (and u all know how I feel about spoiling good anime for my readers... =P )

My verdict given, another anime concluded...

Kawaiiiiiii!

Tamaki as a baby: KAWAIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry guys..I've fallen madly in love with an anime baby. Lol, notice the look on the teddy bear's face.

This pic is from ep 25, I love the storyline of this ep. Haven't finished watching yet and it's right at the middle.. Maybe I'll watch the final ep while I'm at it and then pass my final verdict -which I predict will be good, unless the writers are feeling suicidal.

Conclusions

I used to say that I hated endings... That was until I saw Naruto. My God! It had an amazing start and was going on strong till the eps after 130 maybe even a bit further. After that came the filler plague. 10 filler eps in a row - 3adee. 15 filler eps - ok. 20 filler eps - ::yawn::. 30 filler eps - THAT'S IT, SOMEONE INFORM ME WHEN THE WRITERS COME BACK TO THEIR SENSES!!!

Most endings make me shed tears, though not necessarily because the ending was sad. Lots of times cuz it's the end. Between now and the end of Ramadan I've seen the conclusions of some really amazing anime. Blood+ was really good - if one could make it past the first ep. I think it was the combination of "the end" and how the last ep was written that made me spill.

Then there was the conclusion of Innocent Venus. I so didn't shed even half a tear. They threw in a severe plot twist..and I need not say I was not pleased. (notice how thoughtful I'm being not to spoil it for those of u who are watching it and those who "may" watch it later on =P ) Even with the plot twist the anime was still ok though. (I'd give it an 8 on a 1-10 scale).

My all time favorite, Honey and Clover (the second season, which is more appropriately refered to as H&C II, cuz I don't think they are going to make a 3rd season.) came to an end. It was only 12 eps but they did a good job bringing it to a close.

Another favorite, Ouran High School Host Club, also came to a close. I've yet to watch it.. I think I'm purposefully not watching it (avoiding it). I so don't want it to end. Funny thing is the whole show was like one big filler ep - lachin these guys knew how to make fillers enjoyable.

I downloaded an anime called, Ayakashi. It's supposed to be 'classical japanese horror'. Lol, some blood shed but I haven't seen anything truly horrifying yet and I'm already in the second story arc. I so loved the first story Yotsuya Kaidan. "That's so cruel Iemon-dono" (Serious LOL, that was a quote they kept repeating in the Yotsuya Kaidan. The guy's name looks like Lemon but it's actually pronounced "yemon".)

BW recommended another anime called, Full moon wo Sagashite. Very very cute. I love it, but feel really impatient to see what happens at the end- and of course BW isn't spilling! I think it has something like 52 eps.. That's a really long time I'll have to wait to see the conclusion. At least it's all already released. The last anime I watched that I felt this impatient to find out what happened was when I watched Monster. Now that was scary. But a good scary. I'll definitely have to rewatch it when I have some time inshalla.

I have a few posts sitting in the drafts, I'll go through them and see what's worth posting and what can just go to the trash...

BTW... this is post # 53, I shall soon start my countdown to 100.

Oishiiiii !

Simple words so can't do the description of the Karak I had today justice... Oishii, oishii, OISHII!

Despite the fact that it was delicious, even though it was the afternoon batch (morning Karak from that place is amazing! the afternoon stuff is simply just better than the other tea places, nothing utterly amazing about it.) it was only one cup, hardly enough to keep a "caffeine-pire" like myself awake much less active.

God! I can't believe the official summer vacation is nearly over... This summer was weird though. Somehow I can't say it was good or bad. It was different. I can't exactly put my finger on what it was but I know I've never had a summer like this one before.

I was going to post about my interview today but I reckon I should wait till everything is finalized..

Anywayz, I think I'll go watch FMA the movie, possibly the latest two Ouran Highschool Host Club eps and if I have any chakra left to keep my tired eyes open then I'll watch an ep of Cluster Edge and catch a few minutes of a tennis match before I crash. Thankfully I already put in some work on my project today!

Once upon a time..

Feels like ages since I last posted anything here. Needless to say I finished Gankutsuou. God, I was angry. Can't remember being that angry over a story since I was a kid. When I was a kid (preschool days) I had three stories that I was madly in love with. A day couldn't go by without me having heard at least two of them. They were: Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Very Hungry Catepillar.

Goldilocks was my book but the other two came from the library and had to go back every so often. At any rate since the books were read to me on such a regular basis I basically had them memorized down to the finest details. The adults of the house used to get really tired of having to read the same stories over and over again so occasionally they would get creative on me and make up parts of the story. -Unacceptable!- Mother says I used to throw huge tantrums if the story wasn't told properly. The only time I accepted a variation of one of my beloved stories was when my older sister told a totally made up version of Goldilocks. It was exceptionally good and really long. I think it was so long that it dragged on for days and when she finally finished I begged her to tell it again. Of course she didn't feel like it and most likely had forgotten how the heck she started it so she said she couldn't.

Anywayz my point was that ever since I was a kid it used to anger me when a story wasn't told properly. When I read about Gankutsuou it was like OMG, one of my favorite stories in a japanese anime?! I immediately thought it was going to be the most amazing anime I had seen to date. The animation was amazing. The beginning eps were also equally amazing...but then they had to do it. I think it was ep 18 that suddenly took a wrong turn and incurred the wrath of the Hazardous one!

Despite my anger, curiosity got the better of me so I continued watching. I'll admit that it was a good anime if one just pretends it's a Japanese tale called Gankutsuou that is very similar to The Count of Monte Cristo.

Aside from finishing Gankutsuou I've basically done nothing for the week, with the exception of lounging around watching tennis and waiting for Soul Link to finish downloading - not even work on my project! I feel like I've been extremely lazy. Thankfully that mood has passed and I'm in productive mode again.

Ginban Kaleidoscope

The next person who tells me anime is "for kids" is seriously going to suffer the consequences. "Kids' shows" don't provoke people into deep thinking or to shed tears while watching. Okay maybe once or twice there was a sad scene in a kids' show and my eyes glassed over but once the scene was over khalas it was easy to just wipe the stray tears and move on. Not the case with anime, if it's supposed to be sad, glassed over eyes and a few tears is certainly not the limit.

The first time I watched an anime (samurai 7 ep 25) and found tears streaming down my face I was furious with myself. After watching the first 140 eps of Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist and Honey & Clover it became perfectly normal, to myself....I'd never dare let any of my siblings see me shedding tears over an anime, to pour out tears over sad scenes. (Naruto alone had plenty).

Since watching Black Cat back in March I hadn't seen any anime that really got tears outta me - that is until I watched Ginban Kaleidoscope this week. Honey & Clover II had me glassy eyed in a few eps but nothing that kept me awake at night. I watched the last ep of Ginban last night, shed tears when the ghost Pete had to leave and then couldn't fall asleep due to thoughts that wouldn't go away. I decided to blog what was on my mind but once I had my blog all open, my thoughts refused to be converted to words. "Fine" I thought, "I'll just watch a few eps of Gankutsuou to take my mind off of Ginban and the thoughts it had provoked."

Ha ha, ironically those "few eps" happened to be when a certain pocket watch, with the words "Death is certain, it's hour uncertain" engraved into it, comes back into focus. That was the end of sleep for me. A smarter person would've cut off Gankutsuou and either found something lighter to watch or resolved to sorting out their thoughts. El Hazard did neither and instead continued watching Gankutsuou even though that now means those eps will have to be re-watched. I honestly couldn't tell a soul what happened in those eps as I basically just stared at the screen.

Some time around 3 am senpai appeared online - much to my surprise. After chatting for a bit I felt a little better (I can hardly think of a time during these past few years that I was feeling down right crappy and senpai didn't cheer me up - some how her randomness seems to coincide with whenever I feel the need to talk with someone most. To her: "Arigatou") and made up my mind about a few things...

Now it's already after 7 am, my mind calmed and eyelids heavy, I shall go to sleep. I have tennis at 12 pm and it wouldn't do to yawn my head off during class..or doze off on my feet and suddenly wake to find a tennis ball on collision course with my head!

Yosh, bed here I come!

Anime Unlimited

Gankutsuou is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G... Maybe I should wait till I've at least watched the first 10 eps or so, but so far it's got alot of good things going for it. Firstly the animation is super unique. I love the mood it gives off. From what I saw (the first ep) it followed the orginal storyline of the book - with the exception of it being set in the very distant future. The only thing I disliked about it was that the count is blueish looking -like he has severe anemia or something- has fangs like a vampire and nasty looking claw like fingers to go with the fangs. But I guess I can't complain....

I found another anime on that review site. I probably wouldn't have even noticed it if it weren't for the title catching my attention as that of the same name as my friend's blog. The anime was called "Ginban Kaleidoscope". It looked interesting so I put the first 4 episodes to download. This morning I found that eps 3 and 4 had finished before 1 and 2. Impatience won and I watched ep 3 - well a good part of it before guilty conscience butted in chanting "Patience, patience oh hazardous one!" So now I'm resolved to waiting for the first eps before continuing with ep 3. As Shikumaru would say : "How troublesome...."

I've yet to watch Soul Link...it looks interesting though. I'll pass final judgment over it after seeing the first couple of eps.

As for those two extra Honey & Clover eps. I watched one of them - I think it was "L". It really was a pointless filler ep but even so it was maddeningly funny.

Hmmm, I think I've finally reached my record high of 3 posts in one day.. Last I checked, my post count was at 22 so this would be post #23. I've decided that when I hit the 100th post mark, myself and a certain senpai are going to celebrate at the club cafe with a bottle of fizzy - ROFLMHO, for any who don't realize "fizzy" is sparkling apple juice : non alcoholic =P

Well with that I'll return to my anime marathon and see what progress can be made for the day on my project.

Gankutsuou

Relief! After spending hours this morning on my viciously progressing "project" I decided to take a break and watch some anime. The anime menu today was pretty good with Blood+ eps 39 & 40 and the first ep of School Rumble: 2nd term. Surfing the net afterwards produced an interesting anime review site where I found out that an anime for one of my favorite books, The Count of Monte Cristo, exists called "Gankutsuou". Of course after immediately combing all torrent sites for it, finding and downloading it, I decided to see what else the review site had. Seriously like "OMG!" when I found out there are two extra eps from the first season of Honey & Clover called Chapters "L" and "F" (wallah so creative....). Needless to say they are at the moment all downloading....

Anywayz my thumb is stiffening from previous injury and project is demanding further attention.

Hmm..seems this was another pointless post (attempt at stalling inevitable return to project) but poor blog was looking neglected...

This comes after watching a truly amazing Japanese anime called Mai HiME. It doesn't really look that interesting from the summaries and things though. I happened to be passing-by my sis who was watching it (of course just in time to see a righteous explosion) for a minute I stood mesmerized by the action playing out on the computer screen. I lost interest as soon as the scene changed and walked off. When I passed again though it was a scene (which lasted less then half a minute- I realized after I watched the whole series) of the students in "tennis" practice. That did it, El Hazard was SO going to have to see this anime. The story was interesting. (I hate it when there's no real story to a plot! - unless of course it's "Ouran High School Host Club" ) One of the few animes that actually got tears outta of me (go ahead and say it u have El Hazard's royal permission to). Anywayz, it's not the kind of anime that can be described, one just has to see it for themself.

Honey & Clover II

Finally! I could hardly believe my eyes when it dawned on me that 'II' meant a sequel to one of my favorite animes. It couldn't have come at a better time.....

Ep 1 of H&C II turned out to be a recap of H&C with only a few extra scenes. Eps 2 and 3 move on. All in all El Hazard is very pleased with the creators of Honey & Clover for continuing and giving us a sequel ::heavy applause::
